Challah For Hunger

Challah for Hunger Chapter President: Maya Falb (2023)

Hi! My name is Maya and I am a Psychology and Gender Women Studies Major! As Challah for Hunger Chapter Head my goal is to increase our sales to help benefit this amazing organization. I plan to incorporate new flavors and special sale items into our tabling.

Challah for Hunger is an organization in which students bake challot and sell them, donating the proceeds to anti-hunger initiatives. During the 2014-2015 school year, we officially started our own Challah for Hunger chapter at Clark University! 100% of the profits are donated to hunger-fighting organizations, and we exist as an affiliate of Hillel. Recently, we were able to secure almost $800 for Rachel’s Table, a local food rescue and outreach program located in the Worcester JCC on Salisbury Street.

We make the dough, braid it, and bake it all by ourselves with lots of love! It’s a ton of fun, you get to meet new people, and you learn how to bake challah from scratch.
